There also is a Sewing Center for retreats and a building that houses long arm quilting services. The Seasonal Shop (forget exact title) houses seasonal/holiday fabrics and there is a shop consisting of batiks, of which I cannot recall the name. The town has six quilt shops that are a part of MSQC. My husband kindly did the driving which takes longer that Google Maps leads one to believe. Louis area for a wedding but, as a quilter, I could not get that close (10 hour round trip) to MSQC and not pay it a visit. What are you waiting for? Just go, visit, enjoy-hug a quilter while you are there! Looking forward to when the Man Cave is all done and running for all those wonderful men who patiently wait while their wives shop and visit. Everything was clean, yes I am repeating myself! This is a beautiful part of the state and I have been to many places. I am sure they are used to having people just wander around touching all the fabric and looking wide eyed-yes that was me! And yes, I bought fabric! I loved the small town feel and the big wide streets. It was clean, fun and every person in the stores were helpful and smiling and patient. What an amazing business to revive this little town. Being a quilter and a fan of Jenny Doan-it was all my quilt dreams come true. I got to go on a road trip with my sister which made it even better! We arrived and of course I took a picture. I had looked forward to visiting for months since I had found out that it was only 2 1/2 hours driving time away. The sun was shining and the quilt stores were open. I had the opportunity to visit Hamilton, Missouri and the Missouri Star Quilt Company this past week.
